ELIGIBLE PARTNERS:

  • A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) the disadvantaged individual(s) must be a U.S. citizen (or resident alien) and be a member of a socially and economically disadvantaged group. 

  • A for-profit small business where socially and economically disadvantaged DBE owner(s) own at least a 51% interest, and have managerial and operational control of the business operations; the firm must not be tied to another firm in such a way as to compromise its independence and control.

  • An organization that is described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and that is exempt from tax under section 501(a) of such Code. 

Required documentation:

  • California Unified Certification Program (CUCP) or signed certification

  • Evidence of the tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status (e.g., IRS tax-exempt determination letter)

  • A Letter of Commitment that clearly states the scope of work to be undertaken by the partner and its relevance to strengthen Digital Equity.

  • Are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise;

  • Have previous experience in digital literacy or working with online platforms and tools (preferable, but not essential).
